Architectural Process

We provide all the architectural services you need from start to finish.

The design process begins with a clear understanding of your needs and preferences, site-specific factors and local regulatory requirements right through to concepts and developed design, resulting in full detailed working drawings as required for council consent application.

Preliminary Feasibility

  • Research the opportunities and constraints of the site.
  • Refine client brief.
  • Liaise with council over rules and planning requirements.
  • Research and identify information such as covenants, easements, consent notices.
  • Legal requirements and services such as power, storm water and wastewater.

Concept Design

  • Provide a set of concept drawings based on the client brief and the site information we have gathered in stage 1.
  • Concept drawings consist of a site plan, floor plans, elevations and 3D views.

Developed Design

  • The concept design is altered to exact client requirements after further consultation.
  • The design is refined regarding materials, method of construction, etc.
  • We identify any other consultants and engineers that may be required.
  • An opportunity to make last changes are completed at this stage.
  • Developed design drawings are provided and signed off by client.
  • Developed design drawings include site plan, dimensioned floor plan, elevations, cross-section and 3D views.

Working Drawings

  • Full detailed working drawings are made as required for council consent application.
  • Truss designs are outsourced for specific engineered design.
  • Any other specific engineer design is carried out and incorporated in the drawing set.
  • Full set of specifications.
  • Any other requirements for consent application is provided.
